The Congress
The International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO), which was founded in 1958, is a nongovernmental
federation of 42 Member Organizations, each of which is concerned with the advancement of
measurement technology. The objectives of the Member Organizations are being promoted by IMEKO’s 24
Technical Committees (https://www.imeko.org).
The IMEKO World Congress is an international conference with a focus on measurement technology that
takes place every three years in a different country. The international participants of the
Congress come from the fields of metrology, economics and politics.
Under the motto of Think Metrology!, the 24th IMEKO World Congress will shed light on both well-
established and new, highly current topics. The high-quality program will involve teams of experts,
high-ranking speakers and more than 700 internationally leading metrologists who will provide
insight into the diverse and innovative fields of metrology.
