Under the headline Think Metrology, we will illuminate well established topics but also focus on new ones of highest actuality, such as digitization.
As a gateway to the world, Hamburg offers the perfect scenery through more than 1400 years of history, which has always been characterized by trade and innovation and has now established itself as one of the most important, most beautiful and second largest city in Germany. This and more than 10.000 students and more than 10.000 researchers in numerous institutions of world fame make Hamburg the perfect location for science and research.
The hanseatic city unfolds its many charms across a colorful spectrum of cultural and recreational possibilities. It offers all amenities and when it comes to food, fun and entertainment Hamburg leaves visitors spoilt for choice. Lovers of local and international cuisine are served in style – from dockside bars around Fish Market to fine dining further down the banks of the Elbe river to countless eateries in the heart of the city.
Not only the city itself, but also the conference location in the very heart of the metropolis can keep up with these expectations of internationality and modernity. The Congress will be held in the brand-new congress center CCH – one of the biggest and most modern congress centers in Europe, with unprecedented technology fulfilling international standards of sustainability and accessibility.
This all adds up to an exquisite frame for a high-quality program involving teams of experts, high-ranking speakers and more than 700 internationally leading metrologists, members of 24 technical committees, who will give insight into the diverse and innovative fields of metrology.
Furthermore, to complement the technical program and to underline the strong connection between IMEKO and industries, there will be an exhibition in the halls of the congress center and technical visits of high-ranking sites.
We would like to provide a playground for exchange and inspiring networking a well as a stage for innovation to a broad community.
